According to search giants, "The preferred sites feature lets you set your Google Web Search preferences so that your search results match your unique tastes and needs. Fill in the sites you rely on the most, and results from your preferred sites will show up more often when they're relevant to your search query."In other words, preferred site system will suggest frequently visited sites based on search history basically will depend upon its relevance, but it will completely depend upon users that which site they want to add or delete.
Okay let me take an example to describe it clearly; let's say I am searching some photographs say about ocean and and if I am interested only getting some decent pictures regarding topic ocean, and not want to read articles about ocean and stuff, then after pressing search button the result I will get are like photobucket.com, flicker.com and many more like this sites then I have to add all this sites to my preferred search list.
Google also said, "If the feature goes live to everyone, people will be able to pick a list of authoritative sites and influence all search results"
To access this feature, you have to signed in to your previous or new Google account. After log-in the other thing you have to do is to go to your Google preferences and change the sitting to enable the feature. According to Google, it will analyze your browsing history and offer some suggestion as to which sites you might add to the preferred list. Cool huh..!
