Fully Loaded Apple's New iMac and Mac Mini

On Tuesday, Apple roll-out its iMac and Mac Mini product lines, several changes are made in both products like memory, performance and storage, but there was no major price cut came in light.

Thou, the all-in-one desktop comes with faster processor and better graphics the maker provide the new model at the same price as the old model.

iMac consist a 24-Inch screen, a processor of 2.66 GHz Intel core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of DDR3 memory(I guess which is more than sufficient, ;-)..), hard-drive which is capable of storing 640 GB of data(man!!!), and a Nvidia GeForce 9400M integrated graphics and all this heavy loaded machine is available at price of $1, 499, which is quite same as 20-Inch iMac cost to your pocket.

An much anticipated upgrade from Apple was in Mac Mini, which is one of the company's least pricey desktop. A major improvement in the system, which measures 6.5 by 6.5 by 2 inches, is the GeForce 9400M that delivers five times better graphics performance than the older Mini, according to Apple. This time Apple claims its Mini consumes less energy by 13 watts, but only when system is idle.

now it will be interesting to see that will consumers will switch over to PCs which runs Microsoft Windows or will stick to there personal favorite even during this hard time.

Apple's 24-inch iMac can be consider as a price cut because it cost you same as the old model even after all up-gradation in new iMac.
"It's their best effort at adjusting the price, but their computers are still more expensive than other systems," Gartner analyst Mika Kitagawa said.
