The world's only and first 6GB/s 72000rpm 2TB hard-drive is going to launch today by Seagate. Hard-drive consist of a four platter design sporting 500GB each! and each will rotate at 7200rpm.
Company is going to include a new 64MB cache scheme and transfer rate can touch about ~135 to 145 MB/s. This revlonary drive is available at an estimated price of $299, which come with an five year warrenty. And will be availabe at the end of this week in retail stores.
The older SATA 1.5 or 3 GB/s inerface can be embed and fully supported with auto-conifure by the new SATA 6G interface.
Seagate is also launching a new verison of SeaTools software which will allow user to short stroke their drives so that they can increase its performance.

I remember back in the day when a terabyte was considered a big deal, like only a few, elusive rich people had them. Not any more, apparently.
yeah, u are right my friend but this thing is quite attractive for me. I mean, only in world and first of its kind and I don't think one should ignore such things..

really cool 6gb/s is very high transfer rate and its too cool to see this and wanted to know about SeaTools and how it enhances the performance of old harddisk
